Hello from Top Drawer Art At The Brass!

We'd like to announce our current exhibition is up for viewing- Top Drawers Part Two: Drawings by Dominic Cabral, Steven Karnes, and Rick Titterton!  This is the second in a two-part exhibition highlighting the artists of Top Drawer whose work focuses on intense and detailed drawing.  As opposed to the first part of the exhibition, which featured new work by well-known names from Top Drawer's roster, this second part focuses on those artists whose names are lesser known, but whose work is as equally compelling and finally getting it's chance to shine.  Visit us to see the show throughout the month of June, and join us for our Public Reception on Art Night, Thursday, June 26th, 5 pm - 9 pm.  This Art Night at Top Drawer will feature live music by Stephen and Riley Chabot, as well as a brand new tee shirt design by Rick Titterton!  Join us for another really fun night!

We are also thrilled to announce our next Conversations Visiting Artist Series sponsored by Rhode Island State Council On The Arts will be hosted by our very own Art Center Director and Top Drawer visionary Tom McAleer!  Those of you who've driven through the Providence/East Bay Area in the early mornings or evenings may have seen Tom parked by the roadside, with his easel out and his ear buds in, painting and dancing away.  Tom's work is about an exuberant observation of the outside world and the joy of the senses, and his prolific output of plein-air oil paintings illustrate the way he's turned his daily painting routine into his therapeutic and spiritual outlet. For this workshop, participants are required to bring their own art materials, be it paint, pencil, crayon or Krylon, meet at Top Drawer Art At The Brass for a quick introduction from Tom, then disperse into the surrounding mill-filled area of Warren to observe and appreciate the beautiful details we see through Tom's rose-colored glasses. Join him and the artists of Top Drawer for this fun and funky workshop, Saturday, June 21st, 10 am- 1 pm.

Families welcome!
